River 94.9 Promotional Flight

Dear Mike and Johey,

Just a quick note of Thanks for your support yesterday. The chopper coverage of the greater part of our core market certainly gave both John and Nicole a ‘live’ understanding of River949’s vast footprint and diverse ‘life styles’. It was something that they will never forget and from what they said afterwards, it gave them a true perspective of what our Radio station stands for. Your support en route Mike was invaluable and much appreciated. Johey, Trust that foot gets better quickly. Must be frustrating. Again Thanks and we’ll catch up soon. We appreciate you both as friends and supporters of the station.

Wedding Proposal for Andrew and Kimberley

Recently Andrew set the bar high by taking his girlfriend on a helicopter tour of Warrego wines and Woodlands of Marburg he then used the stunning backdrop at Woodlands to get on his knees and ask Kimberley to marry him. What a great day for them both. Here is Andrews comments:

Hi Capt. Mike,

Thank you for such a wonderful day! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t be happier with anything. Most of all we (especially me) appreciated your relaxed mood towards the day and we felt very comfortable in your presence. Will definitely do again! Maybe the anniversary..

Kind Regards,
Andrew & Kimberley

Up and running after the floods

The recent floods have certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons for us all. All of us here have either been effected directly, by being flooded or we know someone who has. During the actual flood we did quite a bit of work moving people and goods around and certainly a lot of media flights. We did however refuse to do general scenic flights especially over areas where people (and entire suburbs) lives were in the front yard. I have to admit that those flights after the water went down were very distressing for me, our pilots and crew.

Most areas are now getting back to some sort of normalcy and with that we are getting back to our regular work.  I know there are a heap of gift certificates out there just waiting for a flight date. Give us a call and we can sort this out for you. Flights along the river are an eye opener as you can see what the power of water can do when it is angry, and it was very angry. Nature does not take prisoners.
