 Elite Helicopters are the proud operators of Firebird 410, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services first dedicated SIG (Special Intelligence Gathering) Helicopter. FB410 utilises a state of the art Cineflex Infra-Red camera that can spot heat signals from many miles away and sends the footage back to head office live from anywhere with mobile coverage. This aircraft can be deployed for Fires, Floods, Cyclones, Search and Rescue or anytime emergency services require an eye in the sky.

Elite aircraft and pilots are also utilised for Fire bombing, Air Attack supervision and aerial fire mapping.

Wine-aficionados, listen up! We understand that it’s been a long hard winter and you might be in need of cheering up (we all are, if we’re honest); so, Pterodactyl Helicopters have decided to come up with a couple of new adventures to tide you over until it is time to sing ‘Summer Wine’ once more. We have designed a quartet of Western Helicopter Wine Tours that will not just quench you desire for fine wine but also your thirst for adventure.

Our new Western Helicopter Wine Tour packages are designed to give you a perfect day out – and with a tour duration between six and seven hours, it really is a day out.
Pterodactyl Helicopters are experts at showing their guests a good time; we know the best scenic routes, meaning your transfer in between fantastic vineyards will give you a chance to really soak in the natural beauty of the great South-East AND we’ve done our homework when scouting for participating wineries, so every glass will be a winner.

We currently offer two variations on a 3 Wineries Tour package; you can either end your adventure with a gourmet lunch at Spicers Hidden Vale or with lunch and an exclusive mansion tour at the Woodlands of Marburg.
The trio of vineyards you will visit along the way are Flinders Peak Winery, Paradine Wines and Ironbark Ridge Winery, all of which offer unique signature wines that will thrill any palate, no matter how experienced.

Of course, if you want to go all out and really take advantage of the amazing vineyards this region has to offer, you might want to consider one of two 4 Wineries Tour packages.
Running just over seven hours (each of them packed to the rafters with heavenly delights – literally and figuratively) this tour visits Ironbark Ridge Winery, Paradine Wines, Bunjurgen Estate and Kooroomba Vineyards. Again, you can choose to end your day with lunch and a mansion tour at the Woodlands of Marburg or – if you prefer a more leisurely but nonetheless delicious lunch experience – you might elect to stay at Kooroomba Vineyards and sample their seasonal and locally farmed gourmet offerings.

Pterodactyl Helicopters would like to congratulate you on your impending nuptials – how exciting for you! There’s nothing like the thrill of celebrating love, surrounded by all your nearest and dearest (and a select few you’ve just invited to make them jealous…). That said, there is one way to put a little extra win into your winter wedding:  making a grand entrance in a helicopter.
